Are Patriots Christians?

WASHINGTON - With the social and governmental climate as it is today this writer thought that he would revisit an issue of the past which remains a focal point in current affairs due to the recent tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

This is the issue of 'gun control'.

This article is directed solely to those that call themselves Christians.

Many Americans who claim to believe in Jesus Christ and confess a profession of Faith in His Words found in the pages of Scripture also tend to be the largest group of citizens presently defending the 2nd ammendment to the U.S. Constitution, which states:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Most American Patriots, many of which are Protestant Christians seeking to preserve their perceived god-given right to possess a firearm, not only to brandish their weapon but bring it to bare on another human-being with the intent to kill should their 'freedom' be threatened, have no idea their stance is completely unChristian and unbiblical.

The Lord of the New Covenant, Yahshua, the Messiah of Israel, is recorded in Scripture, along with the Apostles, as making it clear that those who profess a belief in Him yet do not obey His commandments do not love Him nor can they be called His disciples.  Yet, such practitioners of 'lawlessness' insist that the Old Testament gives them every authorization to not only posses a firearm, but use it with deadly force to protect their life and liberty.  They are deceived.

Many claim to be Christian, but they are professors by name only.  A true disciple of Jesus Christ obeys their Lord, follows Him, and has Faith in His Words.  They do not twist Scriptures to fit their own lusts and desires. Instead, they obey the will of their Heavenly Father.

The 2nd Ammendment to the U.S. Constitution found in the Bill of Rights was NOT written by YHWH.  It is authored by mortal men acting upon an impetus that is diabolic, rebellious, and luciferian.  It is founded upon the English Bill of Rights of 1688 in Great Britian.  The long and the short of it is this:  Protestants feared that the Royal Crown would adopt the Papist laws of Roman Catholicism which sought to disarm Protestant citizens while Catholics remained armedMuch more can be stated suffice to say this:
Whereas the late King James the Second by the Assistance of diverse evill Councellors Judges and Ministers imployed by him did endeavour to subvert and extirpate the Protestant Religion and the Lawes and Liberties of this Kingdome (list of grievances including) ... by causing severall good Subjects being Protestants to be disarmed at the same time when Papists were both Armed and Imployed contrary to Law, (Recital regarding the change of monarch) ... thereupon the said Lords Spirituall and Temporall and Commons pursuant to their respective Letters and Elections being now assembled in a full and free Representative of this Nation takeing into their most serious Consideration the best meanes for attaining the Ends aforesaid Doe in the first place (as their Auncestors in like Case have usually done) for the Vindicating and Asserting their ancient Rights and Liberties, Declare (list of rights including) ... That the Subjects which are Protestants may have Arms for their Defence suitable to their Conditions and as allowed by Law.

Carnal Christians, that is - Christians whose Faith doesn't even measure up to that of a mustard seed are those who follow the lusts of their flesh rather than obey Christ's commands by exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit.  Many people profess a Faith in the orthodox doctrines of Christianity, but it is only those whose righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees of Christ's time who shall enter into the kingdom of God.  Meaning, unless a person obeys the commands of Jesus Christ they cannot be His disciple.

One directive given to His Apostles is the ONLY New Testament command of Christ that apostate Christians reference in defense of their lust to kill in the name of self-defense and/or to protect their perceived rights being threatened by a tryrannical government.  The verses are found in the Gospel of Luke, (ch. 22, vs. 36-37):
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.  For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
Verse 36 is what Christians have used for centuries to justify their thirst for violent retribution, rebellion, self-defense, and vengeance.  However, if read in context it is clear that this verse has NOTHING to do with Christians arming themselves with carnal weapons and everything to do with the Word of the Lord being fulfilled in Jesus Christ.  The scene was the Last Supper, the Betrayal by Judas, the denial by Peter, and the Roman soldiers coming to collect Jesus at the Garden while praying.  When Jesus instructed His disciples to go out and acquire swords they said (ch. 22, vs. 38) :
. . . Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
Jesus made it clear two swords were enough.  He didn't give permission for ALL His Disciples to arm themselves, nor every Christian from then forward to the present.  When the Roman soldiers along with Judas came to arrest Yahshua His Disciples discerned that the confrontation could possibly turn violent (vs. 49-50)
When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
Jesus didn't all of the sudden order his Disciples to engage the Roman soldiers in battle but rather (vs. 51):
And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
The overzealous Peter, who previously was called Satan by Jesus Christ, (Matt. 16:23):
But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
was quite representative of most modern day Protestants, namely Calvinists, who profess to be Christians yet display a spirit of witchcraft, vis. 'rebellion', against the commands of YHWH by insisting theirs is an earthly kingdom and that they should be prepared to spill blood, if necessary, to keep it.  This is why America's Founding Father's, no matter how much they quoted Scripture, where just like Peter - they savored the things of men over God.  They were rebels who followed not the dictates of Jesus Christ but the things of men.  That is why America was NEVER founded as a Christian nation.  Far from it.  Professing Christians perhaps, but NEVER Bible-believing obedient disciples of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus stood before Pontius Pilate, the Praetorian prefect of Roman controlled Judea, Pilate asked Yahshua many questions as he judged Him (John 18:33-40)
Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. (emphasis added)
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
Jesus' kingdom IS NOT OF THIS WORLD.  Nevermind the Protestants, the Calvinists, the Illuminanists, the American Patriots, the rabble and the rebels.  If Christians live by the sword (gun), they shall die by the sword!  And they will have betrayed their Savior, just as Peter and Judas before them.

Such persons have no Faith worthy of Him.  And just as Christ accused the Apostle Peter of being satanic by savoring the things of men so, too, will He say to those Christians who professed a belief in Him and did many wonderful works in His Name expecting to be let in to His eternal heavenly kingdom, (Matthew 13:13-27):
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
In 1998 this author wrote a short booklet entitled, Secure Peace.  I encourage you to obtain your free copy by clicking on the link below and studying it diligently.  In doing so you'll better understand the world in which we live and the history behind the current movement to disarm America and the reasons why.  Not only that, you'll better understand the proper role of Christians as we all approach the End of Days.

Zephon Ministries published this booklet 15 years ago, since that time our knowledge has increased and Dispensational and premillennial interpretations once held to have been abandoned relative to eschatology in light of a greater Biblical revelation.  Please keep this in mind as you read.

While we acknowledge many brethren still hold to 'physical' and 'carnal' understandings, just as Zephon Ministries once did, it behooves us all to let go of that which does not originate from the mind of God but instead has its origins in the traditions and interpretations of fallen, but sometimes well-intentioned, men.
