A very large majority of evangelical Christians today consider Roman Catholics as brethren in the Faith. While they may label themselves as Protestants, they still believe Roman Catholicism to be the True Church of Jesus Christ.
One must challenge this notion on the supremacy of Scripture alone, (Sola Scriptura).
When one is intellectually honest and spiritually faithful to the Holy Bible they will always come away with the profound truth that no religion for the last 2,000 years has best done a more thorough job of placing itself in the stead of Jesus Christ than has the mother church at Rome.
As such, to label Roman Catholicism as truly an anti-christ religion does not even begin to describe its place in history as the grandest of all the pagan cults disguised as the very church of Jesus Christ on the surface.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting and training righteousness
- 2 Timothy 3:16
Roman Catholicism vs. The Bible
Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife…?
- 1 Corinthians 9:5
When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law
lying in bed with a fever.
- Matthew 8:14
Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from John’s baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us.
For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.
So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barabbas (also known as Justus) and Mathias. Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.” Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.

At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it… For as lightening that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- Matthew 24:23,27
Holy Days Of Obligation
But now that you know God - or rather are known by god - how is that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I Fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.
- Galatians 4:9-11
Indulgences To Remit Punishment For Sin
No man can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for him - the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough
- Psalm 49:7,8
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
- Hebrews 9:22
Justification By Faith Plus Works
…and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished - he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus… For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.
- Romans 3:24-26,28
However, to the man who does not work but trust God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.
- Romans 4:5
And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.
- Romans 11:6
For it is grace that you have been saved, though faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.
- Ephesians 2:8,9

- Galatians 2:16
Bishops Are The Only Qualified Interpreters Of Scripture
Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

Peter The Rock On Which The Church Is Built
…built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with
Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
- Ephesians 2:20
As you come to him, the living Stone - rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him - you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God though Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone,” and “A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.”
- 1Peter 2:4-8
Papal Authority & Infallibility
When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong. Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?”
- Galatians 2:11-14

And he [Christ] is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the first born from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

- Hebrews 9:27
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the lord your God will drive out those nations before you.

But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him,
“I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

- 1Peter 1:3-5
Statues And Images
Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles… They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator - who I forever praised. Amen.
- Romans 1:22,23,25
